STEPS TO BECOME A MENTOR

Submit the "Mentor Application."
Submit the "Release Form." In accordance with New Haven Public School System policy, all school volunteers must be registered and complete a background screening prior to placement. You may email or send the form by mail, along with documents. See information at the bottom of the form for sending instructions.
The Mentor Coordinator will confirm with you once the application and release form are processed successfully.
You will be contacted again when there is an opening at a school that fits your interest, expertise, and availability.
The Mentor Coordinator will schedule an initial meeting to introduce you to the teacher and students, and to discuss prospective science projects.
Then you begin volunteering at the assigned school!
